The Vernon RCMP is asking for the public's help in identifying the persons responsible in a rash of irresponsible vandalism in the City last evening.  Last evening between 7:00PM and midnight, unknown individuals went around the city slashing tires on numerous vehicles.  In one case in the 2000 block of 24thAve, eight vehicles in a row had their tires slashed. Other vehicles the mall parking lots of Vernon Square, Village Green, Wal-Mart and the Landing Plaza were also targeted. The suspects even targeted a vehicle at the BX dog park  By early morning, eight separate reports had been reported and several more have been reported since then.  The police feel these incidents are all related and would like information on who is responsible. One report indicates the suspect males in their late teen or early twenties might have been driving a newer model beige Ford Taurus car.  The total damage in this case is in the thousands of dollars.
