Vernon school trustees are getting a raise in the new year, thanks to an increase in the Consumer Price Index.Chairman Bill Turanski
(pictured) says the CPI went up 1.6 percent which is how much pay for the seven board members will rise. "The previous year it went down 1.2 % ad we took a reduction in the indemnity last year."Starting in January, the base pay for trustees goes to $10,600 a year, with the chair picking up an extra three thousand, and the vice chair 15-hundred.
