Vernon council has given its support to keep the ball rolling on the proposed Okanagan College Community Sports Facility.  Council is calling for a Greater Vernon borrowing referendum for the 7.8 million dollar track and field venue in Coldstream.  Councillor Jack Gilroy says its exactly what the area needs .  He says "no matter where it's built, it's for all the citizens of the North Okanagan, it's very important everyone understands that,  it's a facility thats going to be there like for over 40 years, it's going to be amazing, and I really hope the citizens  support it."  No word when the referendum will be held as the proposal still needs to get approval from Coldstream and the agricultural land commission.View Blog
