NDP select candidate for Okanagan Shuswap

Okanagan Shuswap NDP  For Immediate Release January 5, 2010

Nicole Inouye will be the next federal NDP candidate in Okanagan Shuswap. Ms. Inouye works at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. She holds an elected position with her union executive as well as on the North Okanagan Labour Council. As a long-time member of the NDP she has worked on other campaigns, most recently for Mark Olsen and Stephen Gunner during the 2009 provincial election.

Ms. Inouye, "I am looking forward to getting to know the riding better, and meeting with people who share the social justice values that the NDP has worked for over the years." "10,000 people in this riding voted NDP in 2009, and I want to make sure their voices are heard during the next campaign." Nick Hodge, local NDP president, "The riding association is pleased to have a candidate who was born and raised in this riding. Ms. Inouye understands local issues, and will represent working families concerns very well."
