The City of Penticton and CUPE Local 608 have come together on a new tentative contract. The deal was reached after several days of intense negotiations, including bargaining over the weekend. The contract, which affects 178 civic employees, must still be ratified by union membership and City Council. Both sides have agreed to keep terms of the agreement confidential until ratification votes can be held. Bargaining committees on both sides are recommending acceptance.
