Robbery At BMO In Downtown - Vernon Police say suspect gets away with cash

Vernon RCMP continue to investigate a bank robbery late Friday morning at the BMO branch in the 28-hundred block of 32nd Street. Police spokesperson Gord Molendyk says a lone male entered the bank, produced a note and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. He could not say if the suspect was armed.  The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s,  about 5'10 and wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and a dark toque. He was last seen running north from the scene. A police dog was not able to pick up his scent.
