Suspect In Vernon Attempted Murder Takes Top Spot In BC RCMP's Top Ten Case dates back to 1973 murder

The RCMP in BC have released a top ten most wanted list. Taking the top spot is Arnold Louette Alexis for an alleged case of attempted murder in Vernon, roughly 33 years ago. RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says Alexis, now around the age of 63, is accused of stabbing his common law wife to death with a butcher knife, on November, 25, 1978. ``There were several witnesses who placed this individual at the scene at the time of the offense. He fled and was never located,'' says Molendyk. He says the RCMP think Alexis may have relocated in Washington State, but may have crossed the border at Osoyoos on occasion. He is described as aboriginal,  five-foot-seven, with black hair and brown eyes and, at the time of the offence, weighed 190 pounds. He has a scar on the top of his left hand and a gold tooth.
