This is a comparison of 2010 water rates as originally compiled by GVSW (correction downwards for Kelowna charges confirmed in Feb. 2011.) The proposed 2011 Greater Vernon rates for a
residential customer are included in the table which is ranked from the highest to the lowest water rate.
The Agricultural rates are presently set to increase 5% and the commercial base rate will increase from $31.77 to $66.20 per quarter. The commercial consumption rate
will decrease to 90 cents from 92 cents.

The present effect on 4 different residential customers is shown in the table below. Further debate and changes may yet occur as these rates will be implemented April 1, 2011.
