Vernon council's approved the Vernon public art gallery holding it's Midsummer's Eve event in Cenotaph park. Mayor Wayne Lippert says staff concerns have been addressed but the remaining concerns relate to construction on 31st avenue. Lippert says "otherwise it's all a go, and the request for funding for the fencing's been sent to finance committee for them to look at it there, but so far everything else is a go " In the same area the plan's to put a new bus terminal, that's the construction concern. Lippert says there's a possibility of moving that nearer the old Coldstream hotel site to preserve as much green space as possible.
