DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Former B.C. city planner faces corruption charges
A former city planner in Surrey, B.C. has been charged with breach of trust and corruption for his handling of a development application. Akonyu Akolo faces charges of accepting secret commissions, breach of trust by a public official and fraudulent concealment. Mounties are releasing very little information about the case, except to say that the charges relate to a development application and that there are no allegations of wrongdoing against the applicant. The investigation into Akolo began almost a year ago in April 2010, and the city released few details at the time. He was fired from his job with the city soon after. While Mayor Dianne Watts was coy about the case in public, the city filed suit against Akolo on April 16, claiming that he misappropriated city funds to buy a home in Delta. The city is suing Akolo for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, intentional and negligent misrepresentation, conversion and misappropriation of funds, fraud and deceit. None of the allegations in the suit have been proven in court.
