This is a list of the Capital projects that were part of the water rates that were finally implemented in early March.
As you can see the $2,490,000 for capital sustaining projects were part of the revenue required of $14,389,470 in final rates sheet at top right side. Of this amount $652,500 will actually be taken from the DCC reserve account so in effect the Water Utility will obtain this extra money to be used towards the next years capital projects.

Of the $5,395,000 worth of Master Water Plan Capital a total of $3,190,050 will come from DCC's. with the balance from reserves NOT water rates.

Page 2 and 3 are the future capital projects that are on the Horizon. Note the last 2 items on Page 3 for Water Filtration for the Duteau Creek Plant and the Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant. (DCC's that might be applicable for any of these projects on Page 2 or 3 are not available yet.)

As you can see on Page 1 there is a NCP20 Duteau Creek Filtration Design - Pilot Phase 1 for $100,000. This is the item that the engineers at GVSW south early budget approval for that is referred to in the next posting from the Morning Star.

why is the 100,000 for the preliminary design of the aberdeen dam on the "nice to have" list? Is it not being constructed in 2012 as we have been told, or is this one being pushed aside yet again
