A traffic check led to a drug bust Friday morning in Vernon. A Mountie spotted a car in the downtown around 1AM and ran the plate..it came back as a 'N' owner, but no novice sticker was displayed. When he stopped it, he noticed a bag of suspected crack cocaine. Both the driver and a passenger were arrested, and a search turned up brass knuckles and ten baggies of crack. The man and a woman are both Vernon residents and will be in court on drug and weapons charges late
