DVA Re-Elects Hoyt As President - Hoyt says parking still an issue, points to major changes in downtown

Ruth Hoyt has been re-elected as president of the Downtown Vernon Association for the third year in a row. Hoyt, of A.E. Berry Insurance, says downtown parking will a ``major focal point'' for merchants over the next twelve months. However she adds the DVA will continue with diverse events and promotions to keep Vernon's downtown ``front and centre.'' ``Over the next twelve months many major projects and plans will come to fruition downtown which will dramatically change the business environment,'' says Hoyt. ``The DVA will be working diligently to ensure that these changes will lead to a positive legacy both for our members and their customers.''
