Concerns of a possible drought in Greater Vernon a year ago, are not showing signs of returning this spring.

NORD's Engineering G-M Arnold Badke
(pictured) says the latest readings show reservoir and snow-pack levels well ahead of last year. "It's generally looking good. I was very happy with the water content of the snow-pack this year." Badke says higher water content can lead to higher reservoirs levels if there's a quick run-off period
"It's a good thing, and a positive sign to where we were last year." Badke says the reservoir level is at 5,200 mega litres, and last year at this time it was 2,800.

and all the extra runoff this year will go to waste since we cant store any of the excess
