Vernon Mayor Plans Victoria Trip Over Governance Reviews - Wayne Lippert calls for timelines to end ongoing reviews

Fed up with governance issues plaguing Greater Vernon, Wayne Lippert is heading to Victoria. Vernon's mayor, along with his Chief Administrative Officer Leon Gous, has meetings slated with Transportation Minister Shirley Bond and Community Minister Ida Chong. Lippert wants the province to put a timeline on water and parks governance reviews. ``Some of those withdrawal notices and reviews have been going on for five years now,'' says Lippert. ``There's been some that have gone over well over the three years so that's why you're seeing some of these reviews that are being timed out there now and start all over again so it's just a waste of taxpayers' money for everybody.'' Lippert and Gous will meet with the ministers on May 5th.
