Vernon Men Back in Court on Major Cocaine Bust - Preliminary hearing today

It's back to court today (Monday) in Saskatchewan for two 24-year-old men from Vernon in connection with a 6.5-million dollar cocaine seizure last year. Troy Swanson and Brock Palfrey face a week-long preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of illegal drugs for the purpose of trafficking. RCMP outside of Swift Current pulled a car over for speeding last year and uncovered 151 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside the vehicle. At the time, investigators said they suspected the drugs were linked to organized crime.

There was never a speeding ticket issued. Nor was the person driving speeding.
