A boating accident in Shuswap Lake has claimed the life of an Okanagan man. Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a report of a overturned canoe in the lake near the 4500 block of Rea Road in Eagle Bay at 5:24 AM Sunday.Two men were able to swim to shore, while a third man disappeared in the water. The body of 22 year old Joe Neale of Kelowna was later recovered by an RCMP dive team. A lack of boating safety equipment, and alcohol, are listed as factors by police.
