Community Minister Ida Chong is throwing a provincial official into the mix as North Okanagan Regional District staff and Greater Vernon political directors struggle with ongoing governance reviews over water and parks. Chong made the promise in a meeting in Victoria Thursday with Vernon Mayor Wayne Lippert. ``I made it very, very clear how frustrated I am and how much these issues that are not coming to an end are costing all of us in the North Okanagan and Greater Vernon,'' Lippert told SUN FM following his meeting. The mayor also met with Public Safety Minister Shirley Bond who is promising some changes soon to help with the Okanagan Spirits efforts to expand its business.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

I heard cold showers can ease frustration.
Minister Ida Chong was at the SILGA meeting in Merritt so Mayor Lippert could have saved a trip to Victoria.
Mayor Lippert seems to adopt the position that all of the problems are the fault of Coldstream and NORD. A dispute can only arise when two or more parties have different viewpoints. Who is to tell that Mayor Lippert's position is the correct one and everyone else is wrong?
