There's still no sign of a missing Enderby boy. 17-year-old Daniel Linz was last seen at the city's Riverside Park Friday night, drinking alcohol with friends, and fell asleep. The RCMP's Gord Molendyk says his family went to the site Saturday when he didn't come home. "They found his backpack, a hoodie, and a toque beside a picnic table." He says the park is near the Shuswap River, which is flowing faster and higher than normal. "There is a possibility he made it to the river, and if he did, the cold, dark, fast water...that would be a tragic act." Search and Rescue and police spent the last two days looking for him. His family made his name public in the hopes Daniel may have gone to a friend's house, but police say there's been no indication of that. Molendyk says foul play is not suspected. "There was some talk through the evening had a disagreement around alcohol-related matters, but nothing that would indicate foul play."
Meantime, despite more searching Sunday, crews have still not found a missing and presumed drowned 31 year old Vernon man who was swept away in Cherry Creek near Cherryville May 20 after going in to get his dog. His name has not been released. Molendyk says the water on the creek remains high.
