The Vernon Vipers are off to a good start at the Royal Bank Cup. The two time defending champs beat the host Camrose Alberta Kodiaks 4-2 Saturday, getting the winning goal from Michael Zalewski 5 minutes into the third period. Darren Nowick with a goal and two assists, was Vernon's player of the game. It was the only game on the opening day. Camrose will play the Wellington Ontario Dukes in one of the two games Sunday. The Vipers next play Monday against the Portage Manitoba Terriers at 2:30 which we'll have on Kiss FMSunday, May 01, 2011
