COPS FOR CANCER

The Chetwynd RCMP would like to inform the public of a ‘Cops for Cancer’ charity event taking place in Chetwynd on Sunday, June 12, 2011.  This event will be held next to the annual Chainsaw Carving competition grounds that are located next to the Chetwynd Rec Centre. Local volunteers and members of the Chetwynd RCMP will be in attendance and will be conducting a ‘Jail- bail’ and BBQ with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The ‘Jail-bail’ will be a fun event in which multiple members of the community will be “arrested” and put into a “jail” onsite. The “prisoners” will then attempt to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, by finding someone to post their bail. If anyone has any questions in regard to this event please feel free to contact Cst. Chris Spiers of the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221.
