Postal Problems

Another twist to the Canada Post dispute with the Canadian Union of Postal workers.  The Union's Pacific region director John Bail, says the post office is sending temporary workers covering absences home, no overtime , so after 8 hours any undelivered mail is returned to the postal stations, and any routes that were being covered due to absences will be left uncovered and undelivered. He says it amounts to the post office being on strike. Bail  says the union members are working, other than the rotating strikes, and are willing to deliver.  In our area Middleton Mountain , the East hill area, Village green mall, the 27th street auto strip area are all affected. Today's rotating strike target is Montreal.

Great, now we only have to have one day a week delivery and that will reduce Canada Posts cost even further.
