DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Questions remain unanswered
This council, that claims it is open and transparent, gave no explanations for its conduct, many questions remain unanswered, and many answers from the treasurer were not worth the paper they were written on. The taxpayers are being poorly served by this council and this administration, and the city is in a financial mess. Financial management and planning at the city is just part of the problem. The relationship with the regional district and Greater Vernon is at an all time low and the sharing of costs (O’Keefe Ranch, Economic Development, Tourism, and Fire Dispatch) is virtually non-existent to the detriment of the Vernon taxpayer. This council is also answerable to us for the increases that have taken place via the Regional District 2010 – garbage collection cost up 25 per cent, recycling up 50.5 per cent, 2011 water up 23 per cent.

Next article on the blog is about a bank robber-just like City Hall and council that Beardsell is complaining about-all of them are Robbers
Yeah, just try to get an answer from Council about why they raised our recycling rates 50.5 percent!
The City is not paying NORD that extra 50.5 percent, so where is that half of our RECYCLING money going? Into a secret City slush fund?
Oh sure, no one cares because it's only $11 per household per year... But it becomes a tidy sum when you multiply it by 16,000 households: $176,000.
When you can't even get an answer on something as simple as this, "Where is that extra $176,000 a year going?" you can only imagine what else is escaping our attention.
The message seems to be just shut up and pay, Vernon taxpayers!
