2010 salary amounts at the City of Vernon and North Okanagan Regional District are out. It shows that the combined salaries and expenses of Mayor Wayne Lippert worked out to a total of $89,555 last year. The next highest paid politician in the area was regional district chairman Herman Halvorsen who was paid just under $51,000 in 2010. Rural area directors get a higher salary at the regional district table than other participants. Mike Gavinchuk and Rick Fairburn made around $32,000 last year while Mike MacNabb made $27,000 and Eugene Foisy about $24,500.-------------------------

Expenses are a reimbursement for Travel, conventions etc. and are not part of the Politicians take home pay. For example: Mayor Wayne Lippert's take home pay was $78,474. (All Political Remuneration is 1/3 tax exempt.)
