Weather Delays Multi-million Dollar Road Project - Major work by the Fruit Union Plaza is going to take a little longer

It's on budget but it isn't on time. Construction work continues at Vernon's busiest intersection. Ministry of Transportation project manager Reid Drummond says top-lifting paving will take place this weekend and into next week at the Highway 6-Highway 97 intersection, at the bottom of hospital hill. Drummond says the delay is weather-related. Crews had hoped to finish this week. Cost of the project -- five-million dollars.
