Another Big Construction Project Underway - Don't try to get to the courthouse from 30th Ave for the next few days

The big project on 30th Avenue in downtown Vernon is underway.  City of Vernon Infrastructure Engineer, Mark Dowhaniuk says traffic will be impacted till the end of October.  Some of the biggest inconveniences will be right at the beginning.  Utility upgrades will mean the complete closure of railway tracks , starting at 9am Thursday morning, till Tuesday morning, which means 30th Avenue is closed. It also means overhead wires will be underground.  The entire project will take till the end of October.  Dowhaniuk says the inconvenience will be worth it.

Another waste of money-The official community plan states that development pays-not the taxpayer-what a pile of nonsense with this council and this administration.

I SURE hope theres a nice wide bike lane in both directions, maybe a bunch of telephone poles mixed with fancy new streetlights to clutter things up, and driving lanes that are nice and skinny to encourage everyone to drive a smart car and save the world
