Royal Bank Robbed
RCMP were out in force this afternoon, looking for a Vernon bank robbery suspect. The Royal Bank in the Shops at Polson Park was robbed around 3 o' clock. Police spokesman Gord Molendyk says a man indicated to a teller that he had a weapon, and demanded cash. He was given some and fled. Police are looking for a 25 to 30 year old man, about 5 foot 9, with brown hair, brown eyes, and clean shaven. He was wearing a black ball cap and black windbreaker. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Vernon RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
