Casino shooting in B.C. wounds 5

Five people were shot outside a casino in Kelowna just before 3 p.m. PT on Sunday, authorities say. The five, including one in critical condition, have been transported to hospital following the incident outside 1300 Water Street in downtown Kelowna, the British Columbia Ambulance Service said. Wounds to the other four were less serious, the service said.

Shots were fired at a silver SUV outside the Lake City Casino just before 3 p.m. Sunday. Five were injured, one critically. Witnesses say it sounded like an automatic weapon with 30 or more shots being heard right after one another. People say the shots were targeted only at the silver SUV, and that the assailants were wearing balaclavas. The suspects are still at large. Bystanders say they took off  in two vehicles one darker coloured Expedition and a silver/green Ford Explorer. More information to come.
