A 27-year-old Vernon cyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a pickup last Friday night. An Alberta driver in the pickup told RCMP that he was northbound on 27th Avenue when the cyclist ``flew out'' in front of his vehicle by 27th Street. Police say the male victim suffered head injuries and fractures to his legs but the man is expected to survive. Such was the force of the collision that the truck has a large dent in the hood and a broken grill. Police say charges are not being considered at this time.
