It's starting to dry out in the North Okanagan, but the local water supply is still in good shape. RDNO Engineering GM Arnold Badke says the Duteau Creek reservoirs all have good levels, including one that's so full, it's spilling again. He says water usage should start to decrease soon. Badke says "usualy our peak periods is somewhere end of July to the first week of August, so by the 15th of August we expect this peak to be over." Badke says a quality advisory on the Duteau system will remain for another couple weeks in case other sources are needed to supplement the farming supply.
