31st Avenue Project To Take Month Longer Than Planned

Work on two blocks of 31st Avenue in the downtown is going to take a month longer than planned. A City official says it's now expected to wrap up at the end of October. The work was expected to be completed by the end of September however the official blames utility challenges, some of the old lines were difficult to find, and a short delay at the start. It's hoped that bus shelters for the new downtown transit facility by Cenotaph Park will also have been installed by then. However BC Transit buses are expected to continue on their regular routes until January.
