Work
on two blocks of 31st Avenue in the downtown is going to take a month
longer than planned. A City official says it's now expected to wrap up
at the end of October. The work was expected to be completed by the end
of September however the official blames utility challenges, some of the
old lines were difficult to find, and a short delay at the start. It's
hoped that bus shelters for the new downtown transit facility by
Cenotaph Park will also have been installed by then. However BC Transit
buses are expected to continue on their regular routes until January.DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
