8 arrested after UBC-O stabbing



On Saturday September 10, 2011, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP, who were already at  the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBC-O) campus, responded to a report of a stabbing at International Mews and University Way.  At the scene two male victims were located, all with non life-threatening injuries, believed to have been caused by a knife.  A third male was located who had been assaulted and who also had non life-threatening injuries.   A group of males were believed to have been responsible for these attacks and through investigation seven adult males, and one youth, were located and arrested. At present no charges have been laid. The Kelowna RCMP continue to investigate this matter and there is no further information to be released at this time.
