How Much To Pay ?
Mandated upgrades to Coldstream's public works yards will cost taxpayers, what they'll have to decide is how much. There'll be a referendum on the November ballot asking for borrowing approval for 1 point 33 million dollars. If it's a yes vote, then taxes would go up 2 point 6 percent, if it's no then the increase would be almost 8 percent. Much of the work is required WorkSafe and environmental upgrades, but there's also a new mechanic shop included. An open house is set for October 26.
