If at first you don't succeed, try again. That seems to be the motto of Okanagan College which is making a
second request for approval to use ten acres of farm land next to its
campus in Coldstream, for a new sports facility. O-C's Allan Coyle says the Agricultural Land Commission is expected
to deal with the issue next month, after rejecting the first plan in
March. He says this one includes more regional cooperation, and the long term demand for farm land. "And that may have been a piece of the puzzle that was missing." The first application was turned down as the ALC questioned the need
for the venue, and felt the land was still suitable for farming. The 7.8 million dollar Olympic sized running track and sports field, would also need to pass a referendum.
