Service remembers 9/11 attack victims

Vernon Fire Rescue Service invites the public to attend a ceremony to remember all of the emergency service and first responder personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty on Sept. 11, 2001.  The ceremony starts Sunday at 9:45 a.m.  This is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the U.S., and fire service, RCMP, B.C. Forestry, B.C. Ambulance and search and rescue personnel will march from the ambulance station at 3011 35th Ave. to the fire hall at 3401 30th St.  The public is invited to watch the march and take part in a short service afterward, which will include a moment of silence.
