Michelle Loughery says it's her most colourful mural, and the one that took the longest to complete. The artist's painting of potter Axel Ebring on the side of the
Sanders Medical building on 32nd Ave, was officially dedicated today. Loughery says it took two months to complete, due to the size of the wall, and the hot weather. She says it took her a while to choose all the different colours used to show Ebring's pots. Earl Hansen from the Downtown Vernon Association says with the Sveva
Caetani mural nearby, it creates an arts corridor in that area. "We have a new link between the City Hall area and the downtown, that
also celebrates the arts, so another reason to come downtown." It brings the number of heritage murals back up to 27, after two others were lost due to demolition or construction.
