Food Bank Needs Help

Vernon's food bank is looking for help.  Spokesman Dave MacBain says the Moms and Tots  program in particular, needs assistance.   He says "We help moms with young children with dairy, milk, eggs and cheese.  In 2011, in just the first nine months that is nearly a nine thousand dollar program, whereas in  '08 it was only a thousand dollars."  MacBain says their biggest need is cash to buy whats needed as the demand changes week to week. He says they have a number of programs coming up that will help like the Realtors food drive and the Christmas Kettle drive.
