Our series on candidates for mayor in the North Okanagan shifts to Lumby today. Incumbent Kevin Acton explains why he's seeking a full term. Acton says "There's just pages and pages of stuff that we've
accomplished , but there's still a whole rack of ideas and things that
I'd like to continue on with and get done." Challenger Janet Green, a one term councilor, says she has a solid reason. She says she's retired and "have the time to dedicate to this and I
think we need someone in office who's going to be able to spend time
within the village office itself so that we're available for the
residents of this community ". And Jim McEwan says he is more than a one issue candidate. He says "probably the primary reason why I chose to run is to use
my business background, my marketing background, and help Lumby for the
next future."
