The new 31st Avenue bus terminal in downtown Vernon is still about two months away from opening. City
engineer Mark Dowhaniuk says the city portion of the work is almost
complete. Dowhaniuk says they're waiting on a supplier to deliver the
new street lights, and the bus shelters have to go in. He says there's a bit of a mis-understanding, as the street won't re-open to traffic, but it would mess up the bus cycle times. Dowhaniuk says BC Transit is busy working on the new schedule, with the change over planned for late February or early March.
