Fatal Pedestrian Accident - Okanagan Landing Road closed for several hours Tuesday night
A walk along a busy Vernon Road had a tragic ending last evening. Vernon RCMP confirm a woman was hit and killed by a car about 5:30 last night as she walked along Okanagan Landing Road near the Vernon airport. The RCMP traffic reconstructionist was called to the scene and continues to investigate. The road was closed for several hours. Police say they're still working on notifying her family and will release more details later today, but it appears alcohol was not a factor.
