31st Avenue by Cenotaph Park is slowly getting back to normal after a city work project that's still not quite done. A new terminus for transit buses is being added, with BC Transit picking up 47 percent of the 805-thousand dollar cost. City infrastructure engineer Mark Dowhaniuk says only buses will be
allowed on that part of the street, once the facility is done in
February or March. He says they're still waiting for Transit to provide new shelters, and to revamp the bus schedules to accommodate the new stop. The current terminus is on Coldstream Ave near the downtown Safeway. The project is also updating city service lines in that area.
