Plea Expected On Water Charges

CourtsThe parties accused of improper handling of Greater Vernon's water system will return to court in the new year.  The Regional District of North Okanagan, District of Coldstream, and Rod Palfrey, the owner of Pan-o-Ramic Farms in Coldstream will be in Vernon court February 15 to enter a plea. RDNO administrator Trafford Hall tells KISS FM, he can't comment on the case at this time Each faces four charges under the water protection and environment acts after a foreign substance --believed to be animal waste -- got into the Antwerp water source in January 2010. It led to a Do Not Drink order for more than a thousand Coldstream and Lavington homes, for more than a week.
