It's close to years end but there's still money in Vernon's snow and ice removal budget. Works manager James Rice says with a limit of 560 thousand dollars, 469 thousand has been spent. He says the bulk of that went in the early part of the year, last winter, and it's been fairly easy so far this winter. So far he says they've dealt with 12 snow and ice events, about half the normal number.----------
