DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Strata proposal irks neighbours
Some Middleton Mountain residents are rallying to keep further development out of their neighbourhood. An application has been made to Coldstream to
subdivide a nearly three hectare lot at 815 Mt. Ida Drive into 11 bare
land strata lots. The application has been made despite a
restrictive covenant, put in place in 2004, which does not permit more
than one single-family residence. Several homeowners on Mt. Ida Drive are urging Coldstream politicians to turn down the request. “I was told, when we purchased our lot, that there was only going to be one residence up there,” said Greg Houle. “We bought and built under the assumption that would be the case,” added Sabre Cherkowski. The landowner, who could not be reached for
comment, is expected to appear at the Jan. 9 Coldstream council meeting,
where the matter will be revisited. “Everyone is offered that opportunity to be
heard,” said Mayor Jim Garlick, who also reminded the residents that
they could return with a petition against the application. Coun. Doug Dirk also noted: “Anybody can bring a
request to council and council will consider it, so it’s important that
you voice your opinions.”
