DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Fire has roared through a landmark business in downtown Lumby. Nap's Laundromat and Nap's Vacuums on Vernon Street
were destroyed by a fire that began at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. Also in
the building was another business as well as one or two residential
apartments. "It's a total loss," said Tony Clayton, Lumby fire chief. "It was fully involved when we got there." The fire was so extensive that assistance was needed
from the Coldstream, Lavington and BX fire departments. The main goal
was to keep the fire from spreading. "There is a building within two feet and we managed to save that," said Clayton. It's not known how old the structure is, but it's construction proved challenging for the firefighters. "It's sawdust (insulation) filled and there's been lots
of add-ons," said Clayton, adding there's a concern that an unstable
wall may collapse. It's unknown how the fire started at this point. "We're trying to make it safe so we can investigate," said Clayton. Crews were still trying to bring hot spots under control at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday. None of the residents in the apartments or the firefighters were injured during the incident.
