Two teenagers were taken to hospital after being rescued from the Enderby Cliffs Thursday. Nineteen members of Vernon Search and Rescue, as well
as the helicopter long-line extraction team from Penticton, responded to
a call of two teens suffering from heat exhaustion near the Enderby
Cliffs at about 4:30 p.m. "The teens had been out for a hike and due to the
extreme heat, got themselves into trouble and needed assistance in
getting off of the cliffs," said Leigh Pearson, search manager. "Both the male and female were in serious condition. They were airlifted to an awaiting ambulance."
