Utility Bills 2nd Quarter

The new water rates (Greater Vernon Water Rates)  imposed for April 1 will appear on your Utility Bills that you will have received in early July.  I received mine and my actual rate increase for the 76 m3 of water I used in the 2nd quarter came in at a $18.20 increase 14.83%.

Everybody will have  an increase in their base rate from $66.20 to $78.12 . (Increase of $11.92 or 18.01%) The difference in your Volume cost will depend on your water consumption in the second quarter.

Other Utility Increases.

By the Way, If you get a Vernon Utility Bill your Garbage Bill increased from $24.12 to 26.59 per Quarter (10.2%) and your recycling bill went up from $8.28 to $8.61. (4%).

No change to Sewer rates.  They remain at $48.98 for base charge. and consumption is still 2.45m3 on ist quarter water charge.
