Two separate missing men, who may be in the North Okanagan area, have RCMP asking for the public’s assistance. The Salmon Arm RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating man who was reported missing Aug. 26. Harold Andre Seaward (known as Andre Seaward,) 55-years-old, is a long-time resident of Canoe. He has been living aboard his boat, 150 meters off of the shore near the Canoe Mill. Seaward has been known to frequent both the Chase and Enderby areas and may possibly have a truck and camper at or around Mabel Lake. Police have been unable to locate the vehicle. He was last seen in Canoe approximately one week ago. Also missing is Seaward’s canoe which he uses as transportation between the shore and his boat. The canoe is described as 10 to 12 foot, aluminum with no markings, in poor condition, with a barbecue attached. Seaward is described as Caucasian, 5’ 7” tall, 150 lbs with brown eyes, grey/brown hair and a moustache. Police believe that Seaward’s disappearance is not suspicious at this time however police are concerned for the safety of Seaward.
Keremeos RCMP are also asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man who was on route to Vernon. Michael Prentice, 35, was reported missing earlier this week. On Tuesday, Kevin Prentice reported to RCMP that his brother Michael has been missing for four weeks. Kevin was supposed to meet Michael in Vernon but did not show. The missing man had indicated to his friends on Facebook that he was hitch-hiking to Vernon from Cawston. Michael hasn’t been seen since July 19 in Cawston. He is described as a Caucasian male, six feet talk and 205 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Keremeos RCMP. If anyone has information as to the location of Seaward or recently had any contact with Seaward, they are asked to call the Salmon Arm RCMP Detachment at 250-832-6044 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
