Local MLA to be elevated to Cabinet ? |
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Vernon-Monashee MLA disappointed by Falcon's departure
By Richard Rolke - Vernon Morning Star Published: August 29, 2012 11:00 AM
A high-profile member is stepping back from the Liberal government. Kevin Falcon announced Wednesday he will not seek
another term as Surrey-Cloverdale MLA in May, and he is immediately
resigning as finance minister and deputy premier so he can focus on his
family. “Given his young family, I’m not surprised,” said Eric Foster, Vernon-Monashee MLA. “I am disappointed because he’s been a great finance
minster and transportation minister before that, and I’d like to see him
stick around.” Falcon has been an MLA for 12 years and sought the leadership of the Liberals last year. He had praise for Premier Christy Clark. “Over the last 18 months, I have witnessed firsthand
how well she can connect with individual British Columbians in
communities across the province,” he said in a statement. “I also firmly believe that she is a great campaigner and communicator who will aggressively promote the free-enterprise cause.” Other Liberals that won’t seek re-elected next year are
Bill Barisoff. Harry Bloy, Murray Coell, Dave Hayer, Kash Heed and
Kevin Krueger. Look for more in Friday’s Morning Star.
