The 21st annual Run for the Cure in Vernon went from Fulton Secondary yesterday. The participants brought in 67 thousand dollars, up a bit from last year when the total was just under 66 thousand. The Kelowna 'Run' saw at least 25-hundred people take part, and they raised at least 253-thousand dollars Nationwide, the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC "Run for the Cure" events raised more than 30-million dollars, in 59 communities coast to coast. B-C's share--just over 3-million dollars, raised by approximately 22-thousand participants.
